You can join wherever you live in Australia, with access to our nationwide network of testing facilities and at-home testing options. Whether you’re establishing a health baseline or seeking to maximise longevity and athletic performance, our science-backed approach empowers you to take control of your health.
Exploring the Tests
What tests are included in a membership?
Your membership includes over 100 blood tests covering metabolic health, hormones, thyroid function, nutrient levels, genetic predispositions, and more. Other tests include DEXA scans for body composition, Continuous Glucose Monitors (CGMs), and whole-body MRI scans and many more. A full list of tests is available on our website.
Why are these tests different from standard doctor visits?
Traditional doctor visits often include fewer than 20 tests and require specific symptoms for comprehensive testing. The Metabolic Centre offers 10x more tests, providing a complete health snapshot without needing a medical complaint. Our tests are designed by leading researchers to detect early risks and optimise health and wellness.
How do I join the Metabolic Centre?
1. Book a Discovery Call
- Click on “Book Your Discovery Call” button on the homepage
- Complete the form and scheduling tool to arrange a free call with a Metabolic Centre team member. This call is designed to discuss your health goals (e.g., disease prevention, performance enhancement, or longevity) and explore how their services,
like the Ultimate Package, can help. - What to Expect: During the call, the team will ask about your goals, explain the Ultimate Package (which includes 100+ blood tests, DEXA scans, continuous glucose monitoring, genetic testing, MRI, personalised meal plans, exercise programs, and a personal physician), and address any questions. They’ll guide you toward deciding on a package.
2. Choose and Pay for Your Package
- After the discovery call, if you decide the Ultimate Package (or another membership) is right for you, you’ll need to commit and make the payment. The website has a secure payment portal with instructions to finalise your membership.
- The team wil share pricing details and payment options (e.g., flexible plans) during the call. If you’re ready, confirm your choice of the Ultimate Package to proceed.
3. Receive Your Welcome Pack
- After payment is confirmed, you’ll receive a personalised welcome pack. This pack includes detailed information about your Ultimate Package, the testing process (e.g., DEXA scans, blood tests, MRI), and how our team of experts will support you. It
provides clear instructions on using advanced health technologies like Continuous Glucose Monitors (CGM and Oura Ring. - Additionally, the welcome pack contains step-by-step instructions for downloading our personalised mobile phone platform, available for iOS and Android, which allows you to access your test results, track progress, receive tailored recommendations, and communicate with The Metabolic Centre directly from your device.
- The pack will also outline how to prepare for your assessments and what to expect from your personalised health journey.
4. Book Your Tests and Start Your Journey
- Schedule your initial assessments, such as blood tests, DEXA scans, or MRIs, through the guidance provided in the welcome pack.
- Begin your personalized health journey with ongoing support from your personal physician, nutritionists, and other specialists to achieve your goals.
Scheduling Lab Visits
Are lab visits required?
Depending on your package you will be required to visit a lab for blood tests and body composition twice a year. The Metabolic Centre partners with many testing locations across Australia, ensuring accessibility in urban and regional areas. Your postcode will be used to identify the nearest pathology and radiology clinic for your convenience.
Where are the MRI clinics located?
The MRI clinics are located in most major metropolitan areas within Australia. Out team will provide the details for the nearest clinic for your MRI screen
How soon can I get tested after joining?
Once you join, you’ll receive a welcome pack with instructions to schedule your lab visit, typically within 3–5 days.
Preparing for Testing
How should I prepare for my lab tests?
Preparation depends on the test. For blood tests, fasting for 8–12 hours may be required.
Specific instructions for DEXA, MRI, or CGM will be provided in your welcome pack. Our team will guide you to ensure accurate results.
Do I need to stop medications before testing?
Consult your personal physician through The Metabolic Centre before altering medications.
Some tests, like hormone panels, may require specific preparation, which will be detailed in your testing instructions.

How will I receive my results?
Results are delivered through our secure mobile app dashboard, with clear visualisations and explanations. You’ll also receive a detailed clinician-approved summary and can discuss findings with your personal physician.
What makes your result interpretation unique?
Our multidisciplinary team of metabolic scientists, doctors, and performance specialists provides personalised insights based on your results. We integrate data from blood tests, genetic profiles, and body composition and other tests to offer actionable recommendations tailored to your health and performance goals.
Managing Your Membership
How do I renew my membership?
To renew your membership, log in to your account on our mobile app or website and navigate to the membership section, where you’ll find a renewal option. You’ll receive a reminder 30 days before your membership expires, and our concierge team can assist in selecting a new package tailored to your updated health goals. Contact our concierge if you’d like to modify your services or discuss add-ons during renewal. If you have any issues, our support team is available to guide you through the process.
Can I cancel my membership?
You may cancel within 48 hours of initial purchase for a full refund, provided no testing has occurred. After this period, refunds are not available, but you can pause or modify your membership through our concierge service.
Does Medicare or private health insurance cover any of the costs?
Unfortunately, Medicare and private health insurance does not currently cover the cost of these tests and services. At The Metabolic Centre, we focus on advanced, specialised testing that delivers deeper insights into your health. Unlike private insurers, who often take a symptom-focused or after-the-fact approach, we aim to identify risks early and support proactive, personalised health optimisation.
